The Dismano Dairy, an agricultural cooperative society, which is part of the Consorzio Terre di Montagna, began his activity in 1959. It is located in an uncontaminted area in Via Montebelvedere 300, Castelluccio di Montese (MO), which is 843 meters above sea level and it includes the vast green lung of Moscheda with its chestnut trees.
With the milk provided by the members, the Dismano Dairy produces Parmigiano Reggiano, butter, cottage cheese, yogurt and soft cheeses. these are the culinary delights that, with other local products like: Potatoes of Montese, sausages, chestnuts and its derivatives can be purchased online and in the store called "The Tradition of the mountain", managed by the Cooperative, which is located in the dairy.
The master cheese maker's of the Dismano Dairy is Maurizio Raimondi, who has won in 2007 the Olympic gold medal in the Mountain Cheese, in Oberstdorf, Germany.
Jealous guardian of tradition, the cooperative promotes cultural initiatives such as the annual concert of the Milky Way, and, as part of the Educational Farm, organizes the Festival of Haystack, Bonfires to Rovinoni, baking bread in a wood oven and the crumpling grape.
